Oh Boy!

I got to take pictures of this cutie this morning!  He was a breeze to work with and his parents were so cool!  I loved taking pictures for them and am glad that the fog didn’t take us over.  I actually really like the way it looks!  Kind of dreamy.  Thanks, guys for meeting up with me.  I’m glad we were able to finally get together!

I adore mom and child pictures.  It always kind of makes me tear up, just because I understand that kind of love now that I have Mya.  So I just LOVE this one.  Look at her smile!  Um…Gorgeous!!

Sweet Family!

This morning I took pictures for my neighbors again.  I LOVE this family and am really sad to say that they are moving away.  🙁  I got to take pictures for them one last time.  I have taken pictures for them two other times:  see here, here, and here.  Their children are all so much fun and so unique.  When they argue, I think it’s cute and it makes me laugh.  I know the parents don’t think it’s the least bit cute but being with them, you just get this great “Now that’s a real family” feel!  We’re going to miss you guys so much!  We loved having you next door.  (By the way, if anyone is in the market for a beautiful house next to some awesome neighbors ;), uh hmmm, that would be us, let me know!)  I have many, many pictures to share, but here are a few for now!

Cast Schmast!

Mya has started walking running on her cast and it has made me into a super paranoid momma!  For those of you who don’t know, Mya has already chipped her two front teeth a while back and having those fixed was a major ordeal.  I just fear that happening again.  Just picture us showing up at the ER with a daughter in a cast and her two front teeth chipped.  Umm,….”Can someone call CPS, please?”  On top of this broken leg, she has been sick all week and also has a canine coming in.  I hear those are the worst ever and I am not sure if I can agree, because it’s hard to tell how much pain the tooth is causing when she’s just crying all day long from her throat and her tooth.  Being in the house all day for 4 days in a row with an extremely fussy little one is pretty dang hard, let me tell you!  So tonight, it is momma’s night out before momma goes a little batty!!  Bring on the martinis!  (I have 2 sessions coming up this weekend that I’m beyond excited about so new pictures coming soon.)

Happiness is…

I knew this morning when I got up that my session with this family was going to be great!  I looked outside and it was overcast, much better than super bright sun, which is what I’ve been having to deal with a lot lately.  I knew that it was going to be even better when this family got out of their car and unloaded  a wagon, a little chair and lots of changes of clothes along with snacks, drinks,….  They were really prepared and that made me happy!  And I knew it was really going to be great when as soon as I got the camera out, this little guy started flashing smiles left and right, making my job sooo incredibly easy and fun!!  It only took us a little over an hour!  Thank you little fellow!  You rock!  😉

Growing Up

Today my baby girl turned 18 months.  I’ve been so excited about doing her 18 month pictures.  I always get excited about doing her pictures, even though she hates it so much!  Today wasn’t so bad, mainly because she has a cast on her leg and can’t walk.  Now I remember what it was like taking her pictures before she could walk!  The thing that was bad were the mosquitoes!  Every time I put the camera up to my eye, I could just see them swarming all around her.  Thank goodness she had bug spray on!  (One thing to never, ever forget for a photo session!)   I put her in the car to drive to a second location just down the road and my car was full of mosquitoes and 3 bees!  Nature, always getting in the way of my job.  😉  Man, this time change is crazy! I took Mya out at 4:00 and the sun was still just a tad too bright and by 5:15, it was getting dark.  I guess mornings are going to be my best time for sessions so that there is enough time!  I love you, sweet Mya!!  Happy 1/2 birthday!

I’m going to post some vintage style pictues as well as the regular colored ones.  I love them both.  FYI:  If you book a session with me, you get both!  🙂

How did I get her to smile?  I started saying numbers.  That’s it.  All out of order and she thought it was hilarious!!
