N.Y.

Well, we are officially moving to Manhattan!  An offer was made that we accepted on Friday.  What a crazy, whirlwind it was selling the house.  It has just gone so fast.  We’re closing in mid April and have to be out of our house by May 15th.  Wow!  So we have tons of furniture to sell along with our cars.  If anyone needs any type of furniture, let me know.  We have it!

We have made a little pit stop in Miami before the madness of moving begins.  It’s a much needed vacation for all of us!  Here are just a few pictures that I’ve taken.  We will be making it to the beach later today after nap time and I can’t wait.  I can already smell the ocean and I LOVE it.  It makes me so giddy and happy to smell that again.  I feel like it’s saying, “Welcome back home!”  I went to high school and college in Florida and have missed it here ever since I left!  Glad to know that there are cheap, direct flights to Florida from N.Y.!

We rented a house with our family.  It’s such the perfect place for kids.  It already has high chairs, cribs, strollers, a swing set, toys, you name it!  This light just made my heart sing so I had to go and grab the camera after our swim!  Of course Mya wasn’t quite as happy as me about it.  😉

This was at the car rental place.  lol  Mya loved the hibiscus flowers!  We also saw something a little bizarre in the parking lot.  Can you guess what it was?  See below!

That’s right!  Monkeys!  And lots of them.  It was very strange.  We found out that there used to be a zoo right there but after Hurricane Andrew, it got wiped out and now there are just monkeys running wild around there.

Ahhhh, Florida, thanks for taking the stress away, at least for now!

Oh Man!!!!

Well, an offer was made on our house. The people want to close on April 30th and don’t want to rent the house back to us. Holy BLEEEEEP! The offer is a bit lower than what we want but these people really want the house so we’re going to try and meet them in the middle. I’m scared but excited and nervous and anxious all at the same time. How in the world will we sell everything in time? We want to stay with Ryder’s parents for a few days or so if the house does close then so that we can stay here for Mya’s 2nd birthday party. We don’t want her to have a party with none of her friends. She loves them. It makes me pretty sad to know that she won’t be seeing them after we move. 🙁 Everyone pray for us and cross your fingers that things work out however they are supposed to.

Okay, back to business.  I took some pictures tonight of these cuties.  They were the easiest 2 children I’ve ever photographed, even the almost 2 year old!  He looked at the camera and smiled!  WHAT?!  Wow!  Oh, I wish Mya would do that.  It was so nice meeting you guys tonight!  Mom, I’ll let you know when your pictures are all ready, hopefully by tomorrow!  🙂

Please Excuse the Cuteness!

Okay, playgroup mommas, I’m sorry but I just have to post some more of this cutie!  When I was taking his pictures, it was one of those moments when I am like a photographer that you see in the movies, “Yes!  Oh my gosh, that’s perfect!  Oh, so cute!  You’re a tiger.  You’re a bear!”  😉  Ah haaa!  Okay, maybe not the tiger and bear part.  And now that I’m home working on his pictures, here I am doing the same thing, “Ohhhh!  He’s so cute!  I love it!  That’s perfect!”

Spring is Here

This afternoon I did spring pictures for our playgroup.  I was so nervous!  Lately kids haven’t liked me much.  lol  They just cry at the sight of me!  It was kind of chilly and I just knew that they were all going to be crying and cold, but wow, I was SO wrong!  Whew!  I will be uploading more pictures as I work on them.  Thank you to all of the parents!  I had so much fun!!  So now that we did Spring pictures, shouldn’t the warm weather be here?  😉

So I thought that newborns were my favorite babies to photograph, but nope!  6 month olds are my new favorites!  They are just so easy going and happy!  And they can’t run away from you either.  lol

I love how she has her doll here.  So girly and sweet!

Birthday Girl

Here are some more of that sweet little birthday girl from Sunday.  We met up again in the afternoon since she was so sleepy in the morning, hoping that she would be much happier after a nap.  She still only wanted her daddy.  We tried having her daddy go to the other side of the park, but that didn’t work.  I think with a few teeth coming in and family in town, things just had her in a no picture-taking kind of mood.  Poor girl.  🙁  Being a one year old is hard stuff.  We adults just don’t get it!  😉

Every time I take her pictures, she wiggles her feet around.  I love it!!

She looks like a living doll here.  Such a beautiful little girl!
