Short and Easy!

This morning I met up with this family for one of the shortest sessions that I’ve ever done.  This almost 2 1/2 year old was like no other child I’ve seen her age.  She would just sit and smile at the camera.  WHAT?!  I didn’t have to do anything most of the time to get her to look at me and to make her laugh or smile.  She was so easy!  And it’s a good thing because it was pretty cold!  Thank you guys for being such an easy family!  😉

I knew it was going to be a good session when this was what I got first thing:

Fall Leaves, Where Are You?

This evening I did photos for my friend and her family.  We had planned this session way back in the summer.  She wanted fall leaves everywhere.  Well, this year, the leaves seem to be taking forever to change so we had to change the date of their session.  It finally came around and boy was it cold!  I had fun with you guys!  (Dad is running in the NY marathon tomorrow!  Impressive!!  Good luck!)  See you guys again soon!

Isn’t this momma just gorgeous?!

It’s Halloween Time!

This morning I did Halloween pictures for my playgroup.  I love doing these types of sessions.  It’s so much fun and I love seeing the kids in their cute little costumes!  I decided to do Mya’s pictures today too.  Poor girl, she was freezing.  I’m not used to having to bundle her up for Halloween.  In Austin, it was burning up on Halloween and she was usually sweating in her costume.  These parents in our group, however, are smart and got the warmest costumes.  Next year, I’ll know better!  See that big Cinderella pumpkin?  I hated to see it just rot, so we decided that we would make some pumpkin soup out of it!  Wow, what a chore, but it was so worth it.  Tomorrow it’s pumpkin seeds and I think I’ll use the rest of the pumpkin to make some pumpkin bread.  Loving fall time up here in the north!

Thank you to all of the parents who met up with me this morning in the FREEZING cold!  I will let you know when your CD’s are ready!

The Coolest Family in Town

Tonight I did pictures for a mom from our playgroup.  Her family is one of the coolest families that we’ve met so far in New York!  And their daughter is one of Mya’s best little buddies.  I brought Mya and Ryder along with me and we all met at the carousel in Central Park and then spent some time in the park and at a playground.  It was so relaxed and fun!  We love spending time with this family and can’t wait to get to know them more!  Thank you guys for hanging out!  (By the way, this mom is more afraid of the camera than anyone I’ve met.  Her husband joked that they only have two pictures of her with their daughter, but I’m not so sure it was a joke!  So the first one here is of her!  All mommas need pictures with their babies, so here you go momma!)  🙂
