What to Expect at Your Baby’s Sitter Session
One of my favorite milestones to photograph is the sitter stage! This sweet age typically happens between 6 and 9 months, when babies can sit independently but aren’t quite crawling everywhere yet. It’s a magical time filled with big smiles, chubby cheeks, curious expressions, and happy personalities. Sitter sessions capture your baby’s personality as it begins to shine. At this age, babies are often incredibly happy, expressive, and full of giggles. Many babies haven’t developed stranger anxiety yet, which makes them comfortable smiling and interacting during their session.
These sessions are relaxed, playful, and designed to be fun for both babies and parents.
Planning Your Session
Sitter sessions are scheduled around your baby’s nap schedule whenever possible. A well-rested baby is usually a happy baby, so we’ll work together to choose a time when your little one is at their best.
Sessions typically last about one hour, giving us plenty of time to capture a variety of images while keeping things easy and enjoyable for your baby.
Outfits and Props Included
One of the easiest parts of booking a sitter session is that I provide a carefully curated collection of outfits, headbands, bonnets, and simple props. My style is timeless, clean, and focused on your baby rather than trendy distractions.
You are welcome to bring a favorite outfit or sentimental item, but many families love having everything provided for them.
Family and Sibling Photos
While the focus of the session is your baby, parents and siblings are always welcome to join in for a few images. These milestone sessions are a wonderful opportunity to document your growing family and preserve this fleeting season of life.

A Stress-Free Experience
My goal is to make your sitter session simple and enjoyable. There’s no need to worry if your baby needs a snack, a cuddle, or a short break. I have photographed babies for over 16 years and understand how to work at their pace.
Before you know it, your baby will be crawling, walking, and entering the next stage of childhood. A sitter session freezes this joyful season in time so you can remember those gummy smiles, tiny toes, and sweet personality forever.
