3 Months Old/Asheville Baby Photographer

Today I did a session with this precious 3 month old baby boy.  I hadn’t done a session with that age in so long and was really excited.  I had lots of ideas ready to go but poor little man was not feeling so well today.  🙁  What we did get though was super cute!  His mom wanted pictures for their Christmas cards so I got myself into the Christmas spirit!  Getting into the spirit was easy when it snowed 5 inches at our house!

18 Months!/Asheville Baby Photographer

I can’t believe Piper is 18 months old!  I would normally be sad about her growing up but for some reason, I’m not anymore.  I love seeing her personality develop because it’s really coming out, the feistiness and all.  hehe  I love that life is getting easier as she gets older.  I want her to be able to do what the “big kids” are doing!  This little girl has been poked and prodded and seen by so many specialists and it makes me so sad everything that she has to go through.  But she is still so happy and I know it’s going to make her one very strong lady someday.  She definitely won’t be afraid of pain like her momma!  So these pictures were very simple.  I didn’t buy her any new clothes or really put a whole lot of thought into it.  I think it’s because our walls are overflowing with photos right now, but she deserves great 18 month pictures just like Mya and River and I think these are so beautiful, like she is!  Happy 18 months to one amazing little girl!!

She kept coming up and hugging me so I asked Ryder to please get a picture!  I just don’t have many pictures with me in them with the kids!

Leaves/Asheville Child Photographer

This evening we went to take some 18 month pictures of Piper.  With Mya and River I had these big plans of what we were going to do for their 18 month pictures and went all out.  I didn’t know what to do for Piper’s and have been putting it off, so this morning, before everyone got up, I laid in bed and thought to myself, “If a client asked me to find a great spot for a session for their 18 month old today, where would I take them?”  It finally dawned on me, to a colorful spot with lots of fall leaves!  And there are lots of those right in our neighborhood!  So we took the kids down the road and let them play in the leaves!  River had a great time!  I will be posting Piper’s pictures later this week, but I love this picture of River.  He’s such a boy!  He’s so wild, so full of energy, just like a puppy dog.  lol  But I love him more than words can even say!

What is Matte?!/Asheville Newborn Photographer

If you have looked at my pricing, you will see that I offer color images and then I convert the ones that look best to vintage (matte) and black and white.  You might be asking what is the difference between color and matte.  Well, I thought I would show you some photos with both options.  Matte is what I usually post on my blog because it’s what I love most!  It is sometimes very subtle but adds a little bit of softness to the image.

It’s all about personal preference which is why I offer both.  Which do you prefer?
