Precious Olivia/Asheville Newborn Photographer

I had another amazing session this morning.  The parents were amazing.  The baby was amazing and her big brother who just turned 2 actually cooperated….not for long, but he did!  This baby girl slept through her entire session until we took her outside for the final shot.  She was such a dream.  I loved hanging out with her beautiful momma too.  I love connecting with mommas right after they’ve just brought a new life into the world.  It’s such a sweet time in their lives and I feel so lucky that I get to be a part of it!  So thank you guys for choosing me to capture your adorable new little girl!

A close friend of mine just had her baby girl.  For her session, we decided to do most of it outside because so many flowers are in bloom right now and the mosquitos haven’t taken over yet.  I loved doing photos outside and would love to do more!  I might have to add that on at the end of sessions when I can.  Mom and dad were so very patient and I took dad on as my new assistant for the day.  He was awesome!  Thank you guys for entrusting me with your beautiful new baby girl.  She’s a dream and I can’t wait to see her again soon!

This evening I met up with a family that I hadn’t seen since the fall.  Things were not working in our favor but they were so easy.  It started raining shortly after the session started and then it started raining a little harder.  We were outside and there was really not anywhere to take pictures that was covered so we found a big tree and kind of hung out there for most of the session.  Whew!  Thank goodness for awesome people!  These two are about to have birthdays!  It was so much fun hanging out with them.  Brother reminded me so much of River!  I haven’t done many family sessions lately and it was so nice to hang out with some big kids again!  Thank you guys for being so easy-going, even in the midst of rain, gnats and some potty accidents.  hehe   It was so awesome to see you all again!  Here are just a couple that I have edited.  More to come later but for now I’ve got eyes that are crossing!  Good night!  zzzz…..

Could she possibly get any cuter?!  Look at her little crossed feet!  Oh my!

This is Me!/Asheville Newborn Photographer

This past weekend my mom kept all three kids for the first time.  I saw it as an opportunity to go take some head shots.  I was wanting to hire a photographer but decided to just have my husband take them and then I could edit them in my usual style.  It took a little bit of educating to get them right.  lol  I had no idea that my husband didn’t know to focus on my eyes so we ended up having to redo everything because they were all blurry.  I would take a picture of him to show him exactly how I wanted it and then would let him trade places with me.  I think they turned out alright.  We had a lot of fun and it was nice to spend some alone time out in nature!  By the way, if/when you come for a newborn session, I will NEVER look like this!  hehe I am usually in shorts and a tank top with my hair up because my studio is ultra hot!  🙂

For some reason, April is kind of slow.  I’m okay with it since I’ve got Mya and Piper’s birthdays and I want time to focus on their parties and birthday pictures as well as change some things in my studio.  Well, I guess that will be a job for my husband.  hehe  I’m going to take some time to breathe because May and June are booked solid.  But since I didn’t have a session over Easter weekend, here are a few more of my favorites from last weekend’s baby girl.  You can never get enough cuteness!
