I hope all of the dads out there had a wonderful father’s day and you were shown how much you are loved and appreciated!! We had a wonderful day going on a hike and spending the afternoon swimming at my aunt’s pool. The kids made lots of cards and fun crafts for Ryder! For once, none of the kids pitched a fit….all day long! It was a miracle! lol I love that with my job, I get to meet families during one of the most beautiful but also most difficult times in their lives. It’s amazing to see these moms and dads working so hard together as a team. It’s one of my favorite parts of my job. I love seeing the dads who come in and really take care of the moms. It’s beautiful. The dads that are so in awe of their new baby. I love how the dads talk to their new babies while they are changing their diapers, leaning over them on the changing table, talking in that voice that you only use with babies. It’s the cutest thing!! I’m looking forward to meeting many more moms and dads soon!!

Stuck at Home/Asheville Newborn Baby Photographer
Being stuck at home is making me so anxious to use my camera again. I’ve been taking lots of on-line photography classes and am so grateful for the photographers who are offering free classes right now! I’m feeling super inspired and can’t wait to see my clients again! In the meantime, I have started leaving my camera out on the kitchen counter, which I never do. I actually never use my camera with my own kids. It’s always my phone. So I decided that I needed to start using a real camera to capture this time in our lives. It’s a time that is affecting us, even more than I realized it would. My girls are struggling immensely in new ways that I’ve never seen. It’s so bad that we are finding therapists and talking to doctors. It’s rough, you guys. I know you are feeling it too. We will get through this!!
Coronavirus/Asheville Newborn Baby Photographer
I’m really missing my clients and getting to see all of the sweet new babies. 🙁 I had to close down my business for the time-being. It was really sad having to cancel some sessions. My heart broke and I felt sick over it. But I know it was the right thing to do. Nothing in the world is worth the health and safety of our children! So because I’ve had some time on my hands with my kids home around the clock now, I thought it would be fun to get some photos of them since they are all having birthdays around this time! I hope everyone is staying home and staying healthy! I look forward to getting to book some sessions down the road when everything clears up! Take care of yourselves!!
Color or B&W?/Asheville Newborn Baby Photographer
I love this photo so much! His little leg just kind of did this on its own and I had to leave it because it was so sweet! I couldn’t decide which one to post because I love this in color and black and white!
