My Babies!/Asheville Christmas Photographer

I did Christmas photos of Mya and River a while back.  River was easy.  Mya was easy.  Mya and River together…..not easy at all!  Why do sibling pictures have to be so hard?!  So this year, our cards had pictures of them individually….sigh.  Oh well.  😉

 And it wouldn’t be a proper picture without an appearance by the infamous Papa Bear!  If you don’t know, this bear is Mya’s 3rd arm.  He goes everywhere with us!  He has been through it all with her, from being left at the big NY public library, to all naps and bedtimes, to taking a bath in the bathtub!  (That last one was not on purpose!  lol)  I fear the day that he gets lost!!

Sweet As Pie!/Asheville Baby Photographer

Today I did my first session in my in-home studio!  Yay!  Of course it’s not totally done since we just moved in yesterday!  I have been looking forward to this session for a long time.  This dad is the brother of a friend of mine and she is one of the nicest people I know so I knew that these two parents would be just as cool.  We were planning on doing newborn photos of this little man, but he came into the world just a bit early so we decided to wait until he was 3 months since they were unable to travel here from Charlotte.  But wow!  He did so well.  He was just like a newborn and we got him to sleep for most of his session.  I really loved hanging out with you guys today.  Thanks for traveling all this way and for allowing me to do photos for you.  You’ve got one sweet little baby boy on your hands!!

Happy 8 Months!/Asheville Baby Photographer

River turned 8 months this past week.  How can it be?  How can it be that in 4 months he will be one year old?  I just don’t want to think about it. I don’t want to think about him growing up, going to school,…I hope that he turns into a terrible toddler so that I won’t be a wreck when he does go to kindergarten.  When I was a teacher, moms like me that used to cry and stand outside the door peeking in used to make me cry too!  How will I ever handle it when it’s my own child?!  I love you, love you, love you little man.  You are the most amazingly perfect baby boy!

Haven’t Disappeared!

Sorry for the lack in posts!  I haven’t disappeared.  We are moving!  Yes, moving, AGAIN!  But this time, it’s not across the country, it’s just in town.  😉  We finally found a house that we love in an area that we love and man, it was hard!  Houses in this town are rather expensive and don’t have yards.  So not what we were expecting.  But we finally found one with a yard and a room perfect for a studio for me and everything else that we could ever need.  Wahoo!  So excited to get my studio together.  I won’t be using an empty dining room any longer.  lol  We hope to actually have dining room furniture.  No more NYC furniture, or midget furniture as I’ve called it in the past.  So I do have a session coming up soon, but until then, cheers to new beginnings, again.  😉
