I will be going out of town with my hubby for the rest of the week. This is the first time that we’ve left Mya for more than a night. (That only happened once.) I’m so excited about going to NYC, but I’m almost sick over having to leave my baby girl. 🙁 Will I be able to do it without crying?? Yeah right! I know I will cry all the way to the airport! So I will not be in my office (which really means, on my chaise lounge, which is where my laptop is) until next week. So if you email me before then and I don’t respond, it’s because I’m on one of those double decker buses riding around NY freezing my patooty off! Look out big city, here come those crazy Texans! 😉
A Day of Cards
Yesterday afternoon Mya and I made her Valentines cards for her friends. I bought some with her Valentines pictures for close friends and family and they turned out really cute. We were going to give those to all of her friends but after spending nearly $50 on those, I said, “No way! Not paying a dime more for Valentines cards!” That would be just plain crazy. $50 is already crazy! These are the homemade ones. Well, I say homemade, but what I mean is semi-homemade. Okay, not homemade at all. It’s Michaels in a bag!! 😉
This red and blue color combination has become my obsession. I’m thinking of using those colors for my new website that I am going to have custom made when I win the lottery or start making the big bucks!
I recently got some business cards that I’m very excited about! They are mini cards, half the size of a regular business card. Perfectly cute!
Happy Belated Holidays
Wow, I can’t believe Christmas is over. I just don’t want to take down our tree yet. 🙁 I love having it up and I love the smell of my Christmas candles. I love how cozy our house feels right now.
If you haven’t noticed, I have not been doing any sessions over the holidays. I wanted to take a break to have time with my family and to get some things figured out with my business. Today I was working on some new Photoshop techniques and began working on this picture of one of my favorite little models.
Isn’t she so beautiful? I hope that everyone had happy holidays and really took the time to enjoy what it’s all about: family! I’ll be back soon!! I haven’t disappeared. 🙂

Today is just a beautiful day! The sun is shining, no coats are needed, Mya and I have had a great day and Ryder is coming back home from N.J. Woohoo! No more single momma here. This morning while Mya and I were eating breakfast, the sun was shining in on these roses and I just had to grab my camera. Sun these days is rare so I had to take advantage of it.
