Why I Love N.C./Asheville Family Photographer

There are so many things that I love about Asheville, but take a look at these pictures and you’ll see what it is that I find to be so beautiful.  I did photos for this family tonight before their big move away.  This is the second time that I’ve done pictures for this mom and I just love her little boy.  He is the happiest, sweetest little thing and they are all so photogenic!  I’m going to miss doing pictures for them and hanging out with them.  This mom is one of those people that is just naturally funny, without even trying.  I so wish I was that kind of person!  Good luck to you guys and I’ll be keeping in touch through Facebook so I can watch that little man grow.  🙁  Have a great move!

This is the second session that I’ve done this week with a 21 month old.  I discovered something about this age…..they love to RUN!  Scares me for what’s ahead in my near  future!  lol

A Mother’s Love/Asheville Family Photographer

This year I decided to do photos of some of the moms from our playgroup with their children.  If there is anything that I wish I had, it’s more pictures of me with our kids.  I am sure lots of moms wish that because we are, oftentimes, the ones behind the camera.  I was very excited about this session.  I got to see the moms having fun with their kids, without the distractions that are normally at a playdate.  Thank you ladies for coming out tonight.  I will have more pictures to upload later this week, but for now, it’s time to hit the hay!  😉  Gotta get some zzzzz’s for our first big day at the pool tomorrow!  Woohoo!  Yay for hot weather, finally!

Half Sessions!/Asheville Family Photographer

I have been thinking and thinking about doing half sessions for a while.  It’s something that I’ve never done but I’ve noticed that many people prefer mini-sessions over a full session.  Maybe it’s the cost involved or the fact that they just don’t want so many photos.  Either way, I think I’m going to give this a go!  Here is what a half session will look like:

*The sitting fee will be cut in half:  $70 rather than $140.  Newborn sessions will be $90 rather than $180.

*The session itself will last for about an hour rather than 2.  (Newborn sessions will be closer to 2-3 hours.)

*The number of color photos in your gallery will be around 12 (10 for newborn) rather than 25 (18-20 for newborns).  There will still be the black and white and vintage options as well in your gallery!  Print prices will remain the same.  Please see “Contact and Pricing” for print prices.

*As always, these sessions can include as many people as you would like (your immediate family).

If you are interested in a half or full session, please email me at brandy@brandylewisphotography com!  These sessions can be given as gifts!

Just Smashing!/Asheville Birthday Photographer

I love doing cake smash pictures!  It’s even better if the baby hasn’t had much sweet stuff.  It’s fun to watch their reaction.  I just can’t believe that this sweet little girl is turning one!  I could swear I just did her newborn pictures!!  She has gotten more and more beautiful.  I’m a girly girl so I love that her momma loves girly things for their pictures.  🙂  Happy birthday sweet thing!  Now you’re even sweeter after that  cake!

No Rain!/Asheville Baby and Child Photographer

Today I made up some photos that we didn’t get to do because of rain.  It was the perfect day, with perfect light at the perfect location!  Sometimes while taking pictures, I have to try and contain myself because I really want to yell out, “Oh my gosh!  I love this light!!!”  😉  But I don’t.  I just act like my goofy self trying to get a smile out of the kids.  I always worry that someone is going to be walking by and see or hear how silly I’m acting.  lol  If you ever see me in action, just ignore me.  I get a little crazy but it’s all worth it for a smile!  Thank you guys for a perfect evening.  I’m in love with your photos!

I did newborn photos for this little man.  He has gotten HUGE!!  He is such a big, cuddly boy.  I just think he’s adorable!

But he wasn’t interested in me.  He was much more interested in the flowers.  He even tried to eat a few.  😉

These next two gave me a fright a few times.  They were not fans of any sort of bug, spider, or bee.  They screamed a few times so loudly that I almost had a heart attack.  😉  I told them that next time, we were going to be in the studio.  lol  They were so cute and so easy to get smiles out of!

And this is their new baby sister!
