A Mother’s Love/Asheville Family Photographer

This year I decided to do photos of some of the moms from our playgroup with their children.  If there is anything that I wish I had, it’s more pictures of me with our kids.  I am sure lots of moms wish that because we are, oftentimes, the ones behind the camera.  I was very excited about this session.  I got to see the moms having fun with their kids, without the distractions that are normally at a playdate.  Thank you ladies for coming out tonight.  I will have more pictures to upload later this week, but for now, it’s time to hit the hay!  😉  Gotta get some zzzzz’s for our first big day at the pool tomorrow!  Woohoo!  Yay for hot weather, finally!

After finishing editing the photos from this past weekend, I realized how much these two girls love each other!  I can’t help but post more from their session.  They are just so cute together!

I’d say this momma is one lucky lady!

Okay, okay, just one more.  I can’t help myself.  I LOVE the photos from this session so much.   🙂

Pure Sugar/Asheville Child and Family Photographer

This afternoon I did this session at my favorite location.  I loved working with this family.  It seems like lately I have been doing pictures of just kids so it was really nice to get to work with a whole family again.  And not sure why, but man, I was so nervous!!  Wish I could get over that before sessions, but it seems to be part of the job for me.  Maybe it’s just pressure to make sure I do everything perfectly.  But once I got there and saw this family, the butterflies completely disappeared and it was fun from them on.  I really loved these little girls.  The oldest really reminded me of my Mya.  She was so excited and just wanted to explore everything just like Mya.  She was so much fun to talk to.  At one point she held my hand and just maybe my eyes teared up a little, just maybe.  😉  She asked if I could come back there to have a picnic with them.  So, so sweet.  But the sweetest part of the whole session where I really had to hold it together was when she said that she wanted to marry her daddy.  Gulp.  Hold it back, Brandy, hold it back.  lol  And their youngest, oh my gosh! She was the cutest little doll!  I loved her red hair so much.    Thank you guys for such a great afternoon.  Hope you get to make it back there sometime soon for that picnic!  🙂

Half Sessions!/Asheville Family Photographer

I have been thinking and thinking about doing half sessions for a while.  It’s something that I’ve never done but I’ve noticed that many people prefer mini-sessions over a full session.  Maybe it’s the cost involved or the fact that they just don’t want so many photos.  Either way, I think I’m going to give this a go!  Here is what a half session will look like:

*The sitting fee will be cut in half:  $70 rather than $140.  Newborn sessions will be $90 rather than $180.

*The session itself will last for about an hour rather than 2.  (Newborn sessions will be closer to 2-3 hours.)

*The number of color photos in your gallery will be around 12 (10 for newborn) rather than 25 (18-20 for newborns).  There will still be the black and white and vintage options as well in your gallery!  Print prices will remain the same.  Please see “Contact and Pricing” for print prices.

*As always, these sessions can include as many people as you would like (your immediate family).

If you are interested in a half or full session, please email me at brandy@brandylewisphotography com!  These sessions can be given as gifts!

Contest Winner!

Wow, this was really close!!  And it’s funny but the two families that were running neck and neck are actually family members!  Congratulations goes to Beth and Josh with “Perfection”!  I have to say, I do really love this picture!  I will be contacting you guys about how to get your free prints!  Congratulations!  Thanks for all of the votes.  This was fun!
