Rain, Rain/Asheville Family Photographer

Sometimes I feel like the universe is working against me and some clients.  This family had a session scheduled a while back but we had to reschedule because their oldest son scraped his face up pretty badly at school.  We finally got to do the session tonight and half way through, it started pouring.  🙁  I still got some great shots and can’t wait to finish up our session tomorrow!  On my way home, it stopped raining and this most amazing rainbow came out just as I was coming out of the grocery store!  I had to call home to tell Ryder to wake Mya up so that she could see it.  I just couldn’t keep it to myself.  Of course my phone picture doesn’t even begin to really show how magnificent it was!  Everyone in the parking lot was taking pictures and oohing and aahing.  Something about rainbows just leaves you feeling so happy and at peace.  I couldn’t wait to get home to put River to bed.  🙂  Man, I love my life!  So stay tuned for more of this family coming up tomorrow!

I just loved this little boy.  One year old is the best age!

This little guy was a ton of fun and kept me on my toes!  He was full of energy!

Why I Love N.C./Asheville Family Photographer

There are so many things that I love about Asheville, but take a look at these pictures and you’ll see what it is that I find to be so beautiful.  I did photos for this family tonight before their big move away.  This is the second time that I’ve done pictures for this mom and I just love her little boy.  He is the happiest, sweetest little thing and they are all so photogenic!  I’m going to miss doing pictures for them and hanging out with them.  This mom is one of those people that is just naturally funny, without even trying.  I so wish I was that kind of person!  Good luck to you guys and I’ll be keeping in touch through Facebook so I can watch that little man grow.  🙁  Have a great move!

This is the second session that I’ve done this week with a 21 month old.  I discovered something about this age…..they love to RUN!  Scares me for what’s ahead in my near  future!  lol

One Big Happy Family/Asheville Family Photographer

This weekend I did photos for a family that was all getting together, from different parts of the country, in Asheville.  The grandmother set it all up with me through email a while back and to be honest, when I found out that there were going to be 14 people, including a baby and an almost 2 year old, I was a little scared.  lol  I’ve never done a big group like this, but it was so much fun!!  Stressful, yes, but fun!  And after all of the rain that we’ve been getting, I couldn’t be happier that the rain held off for us!  Hope you all had a great trip back home and it was so nice meeting you guys!  I got the big group pictures but the ones afterwards were my favorites, when everyone was just hanging out while the kids played.

This little girl was one of the most beautiful little girls I’ve ever seen!  I mean, hello eyelashes!

A Mother’s Love/Asheville Family Photographer

This year I decided to do photos of some of the moms from our playgroup with their children.  If there is anything that I wish I had, it’s more pictures of me with our kids.  I am sure lots of moms wish that because we are, oftentimes, the ones behind the camera.  I was very excited about this session.  I got to see the moms having fun with their kids, without the distractions that are normally at a playdate.  Thank you ladies for coming out tonight.  I will have more pictures to upload later this week, but for now, it’s time to hit the hay!  😉  Gotta get some zzzzz’s for our first big day at the pool tomorrow!  Woohoo!  Yay for hot weather, finally!
