Darci+Marc=LOVE

This morning I got to go to my favorite part of town to do one of my favorite types of sessions:  engagement!  And let me tell you, these two were troopers because it was C to the O-L-D out there and windy!  But they worked it.  Darci kept doing different things, like pointing her toes, or tilting her head just so, when I didn’t even ask her to and it looked great!  I love it when people just know what to do like that!  And Marc was a really funny guy!  Poor guy is like most men.  They don’t like having their picture taken.  He made me laugh though.  We had to keep reminding him to close his eyes for the kissing pictures.  So each time I would ask them to kiss, he would say, in his English accent, “Eyes closed?”  😉  Thank you guys for being so awesome and cool and oh yeah, stylish!  LOVE their shoes!  You’re going to have an amazing life together!  Can’t wait to see pictures from the wedding in England.  Yes, England!  Isn’t that awesome?  I will post more photos later but right now it’s time for another session.  Lots of vintage ones to post.  This part of town just lends itself to that style so perfectly.  🙂

I knew it was going to be a good morning when this is the first picture I got!

Birthday Girl

Here are some more of that sweet little birthday girl from Sunday.  We met up again in the afternoon since she was so sleepy in the morning, hoping that she would be much happier after a nap.  She still only wanted her daddy.  We tried having her daddy go to the other side of the park, but that didn’t work.  I think with a few teeth coming in and family in town, things just had her in a no picture-taking kind of mood.  Poor girl.  🙁  Being a one year old is hard stuff.  We adults just don’t get it!  😉

Every time I take her pictures, she wiggles her feet around.  I love it!!

She looks like a living doll here.  Such a beautiful little girl!

More Baby For You!

Not sure why, but I just LOVE this one.  It’s so rustic and Texas-y.

When I went to take pictures of this little guy’s feet, this is what he did.  Wow, thanks little man!  😉  This was shortly after I said, “Can you give me a smile,” while he was sleeping and he did!  He’s a genius!

Oh, You Crazy Time Change!

This morning I met up with one of my favorite little clients for her first birthday pictures.  Her mom asked me a long time ago to do birthday pictures for her and we have both been very excited about it.  Her daughter is so much like Mya that we call her mini Mya.  😉  Well this morning, she proved us right.  She is still like my Mya.  Poor thing did not want her pictures taken.  She had her birthday party yesterday and was so wound up that she didn’t go to sleep until midnight and then had to be up an extra hour early because of the time change.  On top of that, she was shivering because it was pretty chilly outside this morning.  After us trying for a while to help her feel better, we finally gave up and decided to just come back this afternoon and try again after a nap.  It’s just not like her to be fussy when I take her pictures.  She’s usually just so peaceful.  So I’m looking forward to meeting up with them again, but in the mean time, here are a few that I got this morning.  Isn’t she just so beautiful?!

This one made my eyes fill up with tears because I’m just a big ole sap!!  I just couldn’t stop thinking about these two dancing the father daughter dance later down the road at her wedding and it made my heart just ache because right now, she’s such a daddy’s girl.  She just wanted him, nobody else, to hold her and it was just precious!  And here come the tears again!  Ugh, so embarrassing sometimes!

Look Out Bill Gates!

Today I had the longest newborn session I’ve ever had, about 4 hours, because I met the little guy that is going to do great things in this world.  He seriously is ready to take on the world.  I have never seen a newborn who is so alert and so strong!  This baby is one week old and was already holding his upper body and head up with his arms and was looking around!  For a long time!  I mean, I’ve seen some strong babies, but woah!!!  Thank you guys for being patient with me.  I know you’re exhausted right now and I appreciate you letting me take the time to get some good shots for you.  I’m so excited for you and it brings back so many memories of when Mya was born.  What a beautiful life you have in front of you!

My favorite shot of the day!  What is a family?  It’s this right here!  So much love and so many new adventures yet to unfold.

Check out those lips and that red hair!  Soo precious.

Happy early Easter!
