New Yorkers!

Whoever said that New Yorkers are rude hasn’t met my N.Y. clients!  Maybe I’m just lucky but so far, all of the clients that I’ve had here are over the top nice!  I just love hanging out with them and getting to know them and their families!  This family, for example, met up with me this morning on one of the coldest mornings we’ve had yet since it has started cooling off.  They were some of the nicest people ever.  It was extremely windy and pretty chilly for a girl from Texas, but I had a lot of fun with these folks so I didn’t mind it one bit.  It was so nice meeting you guys today!  Good luck in your move!  Here’s a little sneak peek for you.  🙂

I walk past this door at least 3 times a week and I keep telling myself, “One day, I’m going to use that door!”  Today was the day!

Whirled Peas

Today we went to Central Park just to walk around because it’s such a beautiful day and because Mya just loves to pick up leaves, acorns, sticks,…;)  We totally forgot that today would have been John Lennon’s 70th birthday and there was a big celebration going on in Strawberry Fields.  People were playing music and everyone was singing along.  They sang, “You’ve got to hide your love away….” and I was singing along.  Mya looked at me and said, “Momma, why is he hiding?”  hehe  Happy birthday to an amazing songwriter who changed music forever!  You are missed!

It’s Halloween Time!

This morning I did Halloween pictures for my playgroup.  I love doing these types of sessions.  It’s so much fun and I love seeing the kids in their cute little costumes!  I decided to do Mya’s pictures today too.  Poor girl, she was freezing.  I’m not used to having to bundle her up for Halloween.  In Austin, it was burning up on Halloween and she was usually sweating in her costume.  These parents in our group, however, are smart and got the warmest costumes.  Next year, I’ll know better!  See that big Cinderella pumpkin?  I hated to see it just rot, so we decided that we would make some pumpkin soup out of it!  Wow, what a chore, but it was so worth it.  Tomorrow it’s pumpkin seeds and I think I’ll use the rest of the pumpkin to make some pumpkin bread.  Loving fall time up here in the north!

Thank you to all of the parents who met up with me this morning in the FREEZING cold!  I will let you know when your CD’s are ready!

New Opening in October

I just found out that I now have an opening on the weekend of October 9th, either the 9th or the 10th.  If you would like this date, please contact me ASAP!

The Coolest Family in Town

Tonight I did pictures for a mom from our playgroup.  Her family is one of the coolest families that we’ve met so far in New York!  And their daughter is one of Mya’s best little buddies.  I brought Mya and Ryder along with me and we all met at the carousel in Central Park and then spent some time in the park and at a playground.  It was so relaxed and fun!  We love spending time with this family and can’t wait to get to know them more!  Thank you guys for hanging out!  (By the way, this mom is more afraid of the camera than anyone I’ve met.  Her husband joked that they only have two pictures of her with their daughter, but I’m not so sure it was a joke!  So the first one here is of her!  All mommas need pictures with their babies, so here you go momma!)  🙂
