Could this baby boy be more perfect? I love my job so much and love that I get to meet so many of these new babies in the first days of their lives. I love meeting new parents and getting to chat with them about how things are going. Some parents are so relaxed and easy going. Some are super stressed, tired and feel like they are just winging it every moment. As a mom, I’ve been both! I love being able to share stories with them and sometimes offer some advice. I am, after all, a professional at getting babies to sleep! 😉 I love this little guy’s hairy shoulders! Just adorable! ~Brandy Lewis (East Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer)
Golden Light/East Bay Newborn Baby Photographer
My favorite thing about fall is that low, golden light. Things just look different and it’s hard to explain. I’m missing that right now in CA as well as all of the leaves changing colors. I see leaves here and there that are beautiful, but they are sporadic and maybe they are just leaves dying because it doesn’t rain. lol I might need to make a trip back home next fall to experience real fall again. The bagger at the grocery store yesterday was talking about how it’s usually warm in October in the bay and we get about 3 weeks of real fall in November. I hope he’s right! These 100 degree days are not what I was expecting! Swimming in October should be illegal! ha! I’m going to miss photographing some of my favorite families this year. I’ve done photos for these families for so long!! I hope you are all doing okay. I’m thinking about you! ~Brandy Lewis (East Bay Newborn Baby Photographer)
Perfect/East Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer
This little baby boy is the definition of the word “perfect”! I love his fuzzy hair, his sweet little eyes. I bet he is so much bigger now! Those early days and months can feel like a blur but they honestly go by so quickly. It’s hard to soak all of the moments in when you are struggling to get through the days on little sleep. I have been there three times. It’s hard! My husband and I laugh at all of the funny things we did when sleep deprived, like while at the grocery store, my husband left the cart to get something, walked back towards our cart but grabbed a random shelf in the middle of the store filled with tortillas and started trying to push it. LOL Or trying to flush the toilet with the light switch. LOL Lack of sleep can really mess with you. But babies grow and change so quickly. Don’t miss those early little “o” faces, the way they curl their legs up, the way they want their hands by their face, the first little coos. They are precious and won’t be that way ever again. With our second, I was more aware of how quickly things went and wanted to photograph and video everything because I never wanted to forget! Little guy, I hope you are doing well! You are loved! ~Brandy Lewis (East Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer)
Praying/East Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer
This family is one of my sweet Asheville families that I got to do newborn photos for twice! I was so excited when they emailed me to say that they were expecting their second baby. They sure do make beautiful babies. It’s always so cool to see families come back with their big kid who I last saw as a newborn! It’s fun to see their personalities and how so much of the time, it’s the same! I’m praying hard for this family right now and all of their neighbors and community. They were hit very hard by the hurricane and are struggling. I love you guys and am so thankful that you are okay! ~Brandy Lewis (East Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer)
Sweet Family/East Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer
I met this family for their studio newborn session and then for their in-home session. This mom was so wonderful with communication and sent me photos of their baby girl after she was born which I loved! By the time I left the in-home session, I felt like I knew them so well and even after moving, we still keep in touch and text each other. I love when clients become friends! I’m thinking about this family today and all of my friends and family in Asheville. I know this is tough. I’m so sorry!! Sending big hugs to you all! ~Brandy Lewis (East Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer)
