Last weekend I met this beautiful girl. She was one of the most awake babies I’ve ever met. She didn’t want to miss a thing and when she did close her eyes, one eye was still always partly open so that she could look around. hehe I did manage to get her to close her eyes here and there so we got some sweet photos! Once mom and dad were getting her dressed, she totally passed out, 4 hours later! And I heard that she slept for 5 hours after she left. She’s going to be one social butterfly! I love keeping in touch with parents after newborn sessions because it’s so cool to see if the babies’ personalities stay the same as they grow older. I love how her pictures turned out. Eyes open or not, she’s one beautiful baby girl!
Happy 1st Birthday Wendy/Asheville Baby Photographer
I have loved photographing this beautiful baby girl for her first year! I love that I have a big canvas with her as a newborn hanging in my studio and then today, there she was walking around, laughing, eating cake and being so full of life! Time sure does fly! Her momma was so excited about this session and we spent a lot of time messaging each other with pictures and ideas. I love how excited she gets for these sessions. It makes it so much more fun! Happy first birthday sweet little Wendy!! See you again soon!

I wanted to share a few more of my favorites from this session last weekend since mom and dad have now gotten their gallery. I love the neutrals in this session….my new favorites!

Yesterday I got to meet this beautiful family. They drove an hour to see me. I love when families see the importance of newborn photos enough to drive the distance if they have to. This little man was so sweet and his parents are doing such an awesome job taking care of him, as a team. I love it! His momma is the talented photographer at DewBerry Photo and Design. I love working with other photographers but it’s kind of hard not to want to talk shop the whole time! It was so wonderful to meet you guys! Congratulations on a perfect little baby boy!
That face! Those lips. So cute!

I love how this little man would curl up into these little poses….so sweet! This is why it’s important to do newborn photos in the first two weeks of life. After that, babies won’t do this so easily anymore. They’ve discovered that they can stretch and so that’s what they do!
