One of my favorite things to do is go to fabric stores and look for new textures for my newborn baby sessions. I love finding different laces, burlap, new cotton backdrops. I have way too many backdrops. lol I definitely buy less stuff than I did when I was just starting out since I have such a big collection now but it’s still fun to browse and see if I can find something that I love. At one point in my life I really wanted to be an interior designer. Putting colors and fabrics together is something that I really like to do. Before my sessions, once I know the colors that the parents want to use, I get out all of my items and props that go with those colors and start putting things together.
