B&W /Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer

I love newborn baby photos in black and white! With each session, most images are given to you in color and then also black and white. I love how classic they are. My style is simple and easy and will withstand the test of time. My goal is for people to never look back and say, “Ooo, those are so 2020’s!” You know what I’m talking about! Remember those family photos where everyone wore the white shirts and jeans?! Or the selective coloring where only one part of the photo was in color?! I’m guilty of that and thought it was so fun to do back in one of my photography classes, much to the dismay of my teacher. LOL I used to use bright colors, crazy props and headbands. Time Flies/Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer

I saw a photo of this little guy yesterday and he’s getting so big! Time really does fly those first couple of years! Soak it all in, families! Admire those new, little cute faces that your baby makes, the sweet little grunts and sounds, the stretches, the wrinkly foreheads. Before you know it, they will be off to kindergarten! I just saw my youngest baby off to middle school and before I know it, she will be off to college. I’m trying to be totally present and in the moment with my kids because I only have two more years with our oldest before she’s off on her own. I’m getting ready to start back to work here in the Bay Area but want to make sure to leave lots of time free to be there for my kids! They have just gone through a huge transition moving across the country. I miss working, SO much but my kids need support more than ever! If you have a baby due, I am now doing in-home lifestyle sessions in the East Bay and will start studio sessions in late September and beyond! Baby Luca/Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer

This was one of my last newborn sessions back in Asheville. I bet this little guy is so much bigger now. He was so sweet at his session and his parents were so good with him! I have my studio mostly set up here in our new home. I just have a few things to take care of business wise and then I’m ready to start meeting families here! I am so ready! Big Move!/Bay Area Newborn Baby Photographer

Well, as the title suggests, we are making a big, I mean huge move to the west coast, the San Francisco Bay Area to be exact!

This is a sudden move that took some time to get used to but now we are in full blown hurry and pack and get on the road mode. I am excited to be in CA but also super nervous about so much newness and starting my business all over from scratch again. I’ve done it three times now so I know how to make it work but things have been booming here.

So if you know of anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area, send them my way! I’ll be waiting with my camera! I will miss you, AVL!

I loved doing this sitter session! This sweet boy wasn’t super confident in sitting up just yet but with mom’s help, we got a ton of super sweet images. What a doll!
