Holiday Babes/Asheville Baby and Child Photographer

Today I did holiday photos for some of the babies and kids in my playgroup.  I’ve wanted to do this setup with the lights since last Christmas so I was very excited to try it out.  The kids all looked so cute and had a great time, mostly.  😉  For some reason, a lot of the moms came in today saying that their child didn’t take their morning naps.  Somehow they always just know!  This is my last session for 2012!  I may have to do a Photo of the Year Contest.  Hmm….stay tuned!  Happy holidays to everyone out there!!

Urban Asheville/Asheville Family Photographer

Today I did my final outdoor session for the year.  When we planned this session, we thought it was going to be freezing outside, but today ended up feeling like a beautiful spring day!  I thought I was ready for winter, but after today, I’m not so sure!  It was so great!  I did pictures for a family and the cousin and her parents too.  The older two I hadn’t seen in a while and good grief, the son has grown like 2′ it seems like!  Where did the time go?!  This session was so much fun!  I haven’t had the chance to do photos downtown yet since we’ve lived here, so I was very excited to find some new fun spots that were a little more urban and colorful and we found just that!  Can’t wait to go back to these spots.  This might be my favorite location so far!  It was so perfect spending the afternoon with you guys!  Thanks for being open to all of these great spots!

Holiday Mini-Session/Asheville Family Photographer

Yesterday I did a holiday mini-session with this gorgeous family.  I love mini-sessions because usually by the time you’re done, the little ones are also done.   This little man was so cute!  But he didn’t want to be held in front of a camera.  He wanted to be free to run.  😉  So happy to have met this new-to-Asheville family!  Looking forward to seeing you guys again soon!

Just Too Good!/Asheville Child Photographer

This afternoon I did pictures of kids that are older than the children I normally do a session with so I was a little nervous wondering how I could make them laugh and smile.  I’m really good with toddlers.  I know them really well.  I used to teach kindergarten so I know 5 year olds well too, but I’m a little rusty on what makes them laugh.  Well, I was nervous for nothing.  These kids were so awesome!!!  The little girl was a natural model.  I couldn’t get over how she would just pose and tilt her chin at that perfect angle.  And their son was a hoot!  He was like a little Jim Carey.  He had us laughing the whole time.  These two together were like best friends and it was so cool to see!  And the weather was just amazing.  It has been so cold recently but today it was around 65!  Just perfect!  I really loved this session so much and can’t wait to edit the rest of their pictures!  Thank you guys for a really great session!
