Today I got to do newborn pictures for a family that I did newborn pictures for almost two years ago when their daughter was born.  I was so excited when mom emailed me about doing pictures of their baby boy and I was even more excited when I got the email that he was born.  I love getting those emails.  It  makes my whole day to know that a family has just welcomed a sweet baby into the world.  And this little man was just that, so sweet and so tiny!  He might have been the smallest baby I’ve done pictures of.  He was not a sleepy boy so I got to spend lots of time holding and cuddling him.  I won’t complain.  🙂  I’m so very happy for you guys.  What a perfect family you now have!

I wanted to share a few more of my favorites from last weekend.  I could share their whole gallery because I just love the pictures so much!  This little man was just so photogenic!  I’m having withdrawals this weekend since I don’t have a session since I had 2 last weekend.  Can’t wait for my next newborn session!

Today I did a session with this sweet little baby boy.  He was the most content baby, even when awake.  I don’t normally take pictures of newborns when they are awake but he was just so calm that I got a few with his eyes open and they are so cute.  I will be sharing those later in the week!  This little guy was also super flexible!  I loved getting him into the squished up, curly little poses.  I have loved all of these newborn sessions lately.  It has been amazing!  I feel like I finally know what I’m doing and feel completely comfortable with every part of the session.  That doesn’t mean I don’t still get nervous before the sessions.  ha!  I don’t know when that will go away!  I’ve been taking on-line workshops, studying and learning nonstop for a while all about newborn photography.  It’s become my obsession.  I would eventually like to make my business just newborns and babies I think, one day!  So I look forward to growing as a photographer and I hope that you readers out there see my growth!  I sometimes look back at older sessions that I have done, and I want to delete them from my page, but that is where I was at the time and I was learning.  I hope to always learn and continue to improve!  So here are a few of my favorites so far from this session.  I’ll be sharing more after the parents get their gallery later in the week!

This morning I had a session with this perfect baby boy.  He was such a dream!  He slept so soundly and was so snuggly and sweet.  I love having sessions with first time parents.  There is something about them that is different than second, third,…time parents.  They are figuring things out.  They are over the moon in love with the new little person in their family and they can devote all of their time and energy into them.  This mom and dad were such great parents.  Dad knew all about Happiest Baby on the Block and knew how to soothe this little man.  He was so affectionate towards his wife, during a time when most moms don’t feel their best.  They were just the most beautiful family and I loved working with them so much!  Here are a few of my favorite pictures that I’ve edited so far!  Can’t wait to share more later!
