I’m So Lucky!/Asheville Family Photographer

This afternoon I did pictures for this incredibly sweet family!  The mom works at my doctor’s office, from when I was pregnant with River.  She had told me a while back about her kids and that she wanted to do a session at some point so I was very excited to get her email recently and to get to meet her family.  And oh my gosh, their kids were the SWEETEST kids!  If it wouldn’t have seemed weird, I could have totally picked up their little boy and just hugged him.  He was so happy and smiley.  I will admit, when she told me that she had a 2 year old boy, I got a little nervous.  I know how 2 year old boys, and girls too, for that matter, can be.  I usually find myself running after them all over the place, but not this little man.  He was great!   And his sister!  She was so polite and such a wonderful big sister.  I loved this location that they picked out.  I will be going back there for sure.  I know I always say it, but I really had so much fun with you guys!  I could share many, many more pictures but my eyes just won’t stay open any longer and I know my little ones will be up bright and early!  (I may have to upload more tomorrow!  Update:  just added some more!)  Thank you guys for a fun afternoon!

This picture blows me away.  It looks like a painting.  As we were heading to the car, we passed this lake and the fall leaves were reflecting off of the water.  I felt so bad because everyone was so cold and tired but I just could NOT pass up this spot.  I think it was worth taking coats off for once more.  🙂

This dad is going to hate me for posting this.  I just couldn’t resist.  Like most men, he was  a little camera shy.  I’m used to it.  I don’t let anyone get away with it though because nobody hates being in front of the camera more than me.  😉  I love this shot.  And I noticed while I was editing these tonight how he has his hands in his pockets.  He’s a natural!  And he didn’t even know it.  🙂

Fall is Here!/Asheville Family Photographer

Yesterday, (I know, I know, I always post the day of a session but last night Ryder and I had a hot date! )  😉  I did a session for this family and I had the BEST time hanging out with their little man.  I really put my all into getting him to laugh and smile and it was so worth it to see him having so much fun.  I had never seen him so outgoing.  He’s usually so shy but I think I brought out the best in him.  🙂  He made me remember why I loved teaching so much.  Kids are so much fun!!  And their baby girl, you may recognize from here!  Time goes by so quickly.  She is now 4 months old and is like a living doll!  Just beautiful!  This past weekend, I heard, was the peak weekend for the fall leaves and man, they were gorgeous!  Every time I drive around town, I feel like I’m in some sort of technicolor dream world.  The leaves are amazing!!  I really had a blast with you guys!  Thanks for letting me do photos for you once again!  It has been killing me not to be able to edit them until tonight!

Halloween Time!/Asheville Baby and Child Photographer

Ever since River was born, I have been so excited to do Halloween pictures of him.  Okay, I’ve been excited to do any pictures of him!  But I really wanted to get pictures of him in a pumpkin and he’s just the right age.  I have been looking all over for a pumpkin that was big enough.  Finally I found a pumpkin patch that had a ton of really big pumpkins.  Jackpot!

I took some of Mya too in her costume.  She was not quite as cooperative…sigh.  But I finally got some smiles out of her after she quit crying.  She looks so cute in her costume.  She originally wanted to be Mickey Mouse, not Minnie, but once we found the costume, she decided that Minnie was much cuter and I had to agree!  Gone are the days when I get to choose her sweet, girly little costumes.  😉  No more insects!
